Just a quick shout out for Darren our Compliance Manager here at RH who we are very proud of. Darren actively supports Santa on a bike, which raises money for The Children’s Hospice and this year, their rides alone have raised £20,000. This however isn’t the whole story. Darren has done this for 16 Christmas periods in total and this is his 9th in a row. He also goes the extra mile locally with a smaller group of riders, continuing with the decorations and outfits visiting local nursing homes and residential care home in the weeks leading up to Christmas raising a smile and the odd tear (of joy) from residents and staff.

Santa’s on a bike is a charity motorbike event that attracts over a thousand bikes, with decorated bikes and riders dressed as Santa, Elves, snowmen even the odd reindeer and grinch.

The Rides have been running through first couple of weeks in December with 3 rides in the southwest for children’s hospice southwest (CHSW) going to the hospice sites in Barnstaple Devon, Bristol and St Austell Cornwall along with a recently started ride in the Midlands for Acorns children’s hospice.

Oh, and by the way, if you see Darren or any other riders in the middle of June dressed up like Santa – apparently that’s quite normal, so don’t worry you aren’t seeing things.
